The Siege of Jadotville is a gripping war drama based on true events during the 1961 Congo Crisis. It follows Commandant Pat Quinlan, an Irish UN peacekeeping officer, and his 150 soldiers who are stationed in the remote mining town of Jadotville. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned by a force of around 3,000 Congolese troops and mercenaries hired by mining interests, Quinlan’s men mount a remarkable defense.

The story highlights courage, strategy, and the political complexities of UN missions. It also sheds light on how the soldiers’ bravery went unrecognized for decades, only later being honored for their extraordinary stand against overwhelming odds.

It’s a tale of resilience, leadership, and the quiet heroism of soldiers caught in the crossfire of global politics.
